Sec. 6. Except as provided under IC 20-26-19, a school corporation that operates a virtual education program may not enroll a student unless the student is an Indiana resident. If the school corporation that operates a virtual education program is unable to verify that a student who attends the school corporation's virtual education program is an Indiana resident, the school corporation must pay back to the department the state tuition support distribution in an amount determined by the department that the school corporation received for that student.
