Sec. 6. (a) The term of a member appointed to the council is four (4) years.
(b) Terms for appointed members begin on July 1 and end on June 30 of an odd-numbered year.
(c) An appointed member may not serve more than one (1) complete term.
(d) Notwithstanding subsection (a), the initial terms of the appointed members of the council under section 5 of this chapter are as follows:
(1) Members appointed under section 5(b)(1), 5(b)(4), 5(b)(7), and 5(b)(10) of this chapter, for a term of two (2) years.
(2) Members appointed under section 5(b)(2), 5(b)(5), 5(b)(8), and 5(b)(11) of this chapter, for a term of three (3) years.
(3) Members appointed under section 5(b)(3), 5(b)(6), and 5(b)(9) of this chapter, for a term of four (4) years.
