§ 901.1. Additional penalty. In addition to the penalties imposed under Section 901, an individual who, for the purposes of obtaining benefits, knowingly makes a false statement or knowingly fails to disclose a material fact, and thereby obtains any sum as benefits for which he or she is not eligible, shall be required to pay a penalty in an amount equal to 15% of such sum. All of the provisions of Section 900 applicable to the recovery of sums described in paragraph 1 of subsection A of Section 900 shall apply to penalties imposed pursuant to this Section. All penalties collected under this Section shall be treated in the same manner as benefits recovered from such individual.
