§ 1706. State-Federal cooperation. A. The Director is hereby authorized to cooperate with the appropriate agencies and departments of the Federal government charged with the administration of any unemployment compensation law, and to comply with all reasonable Federal regulations governing the expenditures of sums allotted or apportioned to the State for such administration, and accepted by the State. The Director may make the State's records relating to the administration of this Act available to the Railroad Retirement Board, and may furnish the Railroad Retirement Board, at the expense of such Board, such copies thereof as the Railroad Retirement Board deems necessary for its purposes.
B. In the administration of this Act, the Director shall cooperate, to the fullest extent consistent with the provisions of this Act, with the United States Secretary of Labor, or other appropriate Federal agency, with respect to the provisions of the Federal Social Security Act 1 that relate to unemployment compensation, the Wagner-Peyser Act, 2 the Federal Unemployment Tax Act, 3 and the Federal-State Extended Unemployment Compensation Act of 1970; 4 shall make such reports in such form and containing such information as the Secretary of Labor or other appropriate Federal agency may from time to time require and shall comply with such provisions as the Secretary of Labor or other appropriate Federal agency may from time to time find necessary to assure the correctness and verification of such reports; and shall comply with the regulations prescribed by the Secretary of Labor or other appropriate Federal agency governing the expenditures of such sums as may be allotted and paid to this State under Title III of the Social Security Act 5 for the purpose of assisting in the administration of this Act.
C. In the administration of the provisions of Section 409, enacted to conform with the requirements of the Federal-State Extended Unemployment Compensation Act of 1970, the Director shall take such action as may be necessary (1) to insure that the provisions are so interpreted and applied as to meet the requirements of the Federal Act as interpreted by the United States Secretary of Labor or other appropriate Federal agency, and (2) to secure to this State the full reimbursement of the Federal share of extended benefits paid under this Act that are reimbursable under the Federal Act.
