Illinois Statutes Chapter 820. Employment § 255/1.5. Federal regulations; operation of Act

(a) Except as provided in subsection (b), Sections 2 through 17 of this Act are inoperative on and after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 102nd General Assembly.

(b) If at any time the Occupational Safety and Health Administration Hazard Communication standard at 29 CFR 1910.1200 is repealed or revoked, the Director of Labor shall adopt a rule setting forth a determination that this Act should be reviewed and reinstated in order to protect the health and safety of Illinois' workers. On the date such a rule is adopted, this Act shall again become operative.
