§ 2. The approval of the circuit court required under Section 1 may be given upon the petition of either party to the contract or agreement after reasonable notice to the other party as may be fixed by the court. The other party shall have the opportunity to appear and be heard. The court's approval shall extend to the whole of the contract or agreement and all of the terms thereof including, but not limited to, any optional or conditional provisions contained therein for extension, prolongation, or termination.
