§ 35. Penalties and enforcement. An employer that violates this Act or any rule adopted under this Act shall be subject to a civil penalty of $2,500 for each separate offense. An offense means any violation of this Act with the exception of a violation of the notice requirement in subsection (c) of Section 20. Any penalties collected from an employer under this Section or under subsection (d) of Section 20 for violations of this Act shall be deposited into the Paid Leave for All Workers Fund, a special fund created in the State treasury that is dedicated to enforcing this Act.
