§ 5. Legislative finding. The automotive repair industry supports good communication between motor vehicle repair facilities and their customers. The General Assembly recognizes that improved communications and accurate representations between automotive repair facilities and their customers will increase consumer confidence, reduce the likelihood of disputes arising, and promote fair and nondeceptive practices, thereby enhancing the safety and reliability of motor vehicles serviced by motor vehicle repair facilities in the State of Illinois.
