§ 1a. Any such association or company may, if it so desires, convey property which it may hold within a city, village, incorporated town, county not under township organization or town, to the city, village, incorporated town, county, or town within which the property is located, and if the city, village, incorporated town, county or town accepts the conveyance such property shall thereafter be under the control, management, and ownership of the city, village, incorporated town, county or town.
