§ 45. Life insurance. No policy of life insurance, or annuity or other type of contract that is conditioned on the life or death of the patient, shall be legally impaired or invalidated in any manner by the withholding or withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment from a patient in accordance with the provisions of this Act, notwithstanding any terms of the policy to the contrary.
