Illinois Statutes Chapter 75. Libraries § 5/1-4. Libraries established under prior Acts; status

§ 1-4. Any public library established under Division 48.1 of Article 11 of the “Illinois Municipal Code”, approved May 29, 1961, as amended,  1 or “An Act to authorize townships to establish and maintain free public libraries and reading rooms”, approved March 7, 1872, as amended,  2 shall be treated as libraries established under this Act and shall be subject to the provisions of this Act.
