§ 15-63. Court order. The judge, after hearing the statements, evidence, and suggestions of the petitioners and other persons appearing before the court, shall enter a final judgment that shall do the following:
(1) Fix the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed to the district. For that purpose and only to that extent, and only upon a showing of good cause, the judge may alter and amend the petition.
(2) Require a map to be prepared depicting the boundaries of the district and the territory proposed to be annexed.
(3) Certify the proposition to the proper election authority of each county in which the district and the territory proposed to be annexed are located, who shall submit the proposition to the voters at a regular election in accordance with the Election Code. 1
