§ 3-7-5. Energy conservation program. The Department shall implement a comprehensive energy conservation program at all correctional institutions and facilities in the State, for the purpose of conserving energy in any and all forms and to ultimately reduce expenditures in such regard. The Department may request the Capital Development Board to provide personnel and services in connection with the inspection of the institutions and facilities and the making of specific recommendations for current expenditures for improvement and ultimate cost reduction.
