§ 5. The copyright of the statement of facts, of the syllabi, of the index and of all other notes or references prepared by the reporter of decisions or the contractor hereunder, must be taken by and shall be vested in the Supreme Court and in the Reporter of Decisions for the benefit of the People of the State of Illinois. The Reporter of Decisions is authorized by writing filed in his office to license the use of such copyrighted materials by any person, firm, or corporation. Any and all subscription lists, data base, literature, editorial, production, advertising, marketing material, and so forth, shall be considered to have been created in the furtherance of this contract and shall be vested in the Supreme Court for the benefit of the People of the State of Illinois.
