Illinois Statutes Chapter 70. Special Districts § 805/2. Form of proposition; results of election

§ 2. The proposition shall be substantially in the following form:

“Shall there be organized a forest

preserve district in accordance with

the order of the judge of the circuit

court of ․․․․ county, dated (insert

date), to be known as (insert

here) the name of the proposed dis-

trict as entered in the order of the

judge of the circuit court) and

described as follows: (insert descrip-

tion of the proposed district as en-

NO

tered in the order of the judge of the

circuit court)?”

The clerk of the circuit court of the county shall cause a statement of the result of the referendum in the proposed district to be filed in the records of the circuit court of the county, and if a majority of the votes cast in the proposed district upon the question is found to be in favor of the organization of a forest preserve district, the proposed forest preserve district shall thenceforth be deemed an organized forest preserve district under this Act.
