Illinois Statutes Chapter 70. Special Districts § 3705/7.1. Participation in retirement fund; contributions

§ 7.1. The board of trustees of any public water district created under this Act may provide for the participation of that district in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund as a participating instrumentality subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees of the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund as provided in Section 7-132 of the Illinois Pension Code.  1

Any such district which does participate in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund may use moneys of the district to pay municipality contributions required of it in relation to such participation and the cost of such contributions shall be included in the cost of maintenance and operation of the properties of the district for the purpose of setting rates and charges for the use and service of such properties.
