Illinois Statutes Chapter 70. Special Districts § 3010/18. Ordinance for issuance of bonds; publication or posting

§ 18. If the board of trustees adopts a resolution to proceed with the construction or acquisition of the project as provided in section 17, they shall adopt an ordinance providing for the issuance of the bonds. The ordinance shall contain the necessary detail and data provided for by section 3a of this Act.

Within thirty days after the adoption of the ordinance, it shall be published at least once in a newspaper published and having a general circulation in the sanitary district, or if there is no such newspaper, it shall be posted in at least three of the most public places in the sanitary district. The ordinance shall become effective ten days after the publication or posting.
