§ 30. Jurisdiction and area of operation. The jurisdiction and area of operation of the Board includes Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will Counties. The Board may enter into agreements with units of local government located outside of, but contiguous to, its jurisdiction and area of operation in order to include those areas in plans for the region. For activities related to the MPO, the jurisdiction of the MPO shall be that area defined by federal requirements.
