§ 6. The provisions of this act so far as the same applies to improving, maintaining and repairing any street or streets or parts thereof, and of the levy, assessment and collection of special taxes and special assessments, shall apply to any street or streets or parts thereof that have been heretofore selected and taken under the control of any park commissioners or other park authorities, and to any such street or streets or parts thereof which, or portions of which, have not yet been improved by such park commissioners or park authorities.
