Illinois Statutes Chapter 65. Municipalities § 5/8-1-9. Warrants; limitation on drawing

§ 8-1-9. No warrant payable on demand shall be drawn upon the municipal treasurer or against any fund in his possession unless at the time of the drawing there is sufficient money in the appropriate fund in the municipal treasury to pay the warrant.
