§ 10-2.1-30. Any full time member of a regular fire department of a Fire Protection District which was discontinued and whose obligations were assumed by a municipality under Section 21 of “An Act in Relation to Fire Protection Districts”, 1 who has served at least one year as a full time member of such department, shall become a member of the classified service of the fire department in the municipality in the position held by him at the time of such discontinuance, without examination and age limitation.
