§ 10-1-36. The commission shall certify to the comptroller or other auditing officers, all appointments to offices and places in the classified civil service, and all vacancies occurring therein, whether by dismissal or resignation or death, and all findings made or approved by the commission under the provisions of Section 10-1-18, that a person shall be discharged from the classified civil service.
In no event shall any person who is classified by his local selective service draft board as a conscientious objector, or who has ever been so classified, be appointed to the police department.
