§ 10-1-25. A sufficient sum of money shall be appropriated each year by each municipality which adopts this Division 1, to carry out the provisions of this Division 1 in such municipality. In such municipalities as shall have already made the annual appropriation for municipal purposes for the current fiscal year, the mayor is authorized and required to pay the salaries and expenses as herein provided for such fiscal year out of the moneys appropriated for contingent purposes by such municipality, or out of any moneys not otherwise appropriated.
