§ 1-9-7. Where, in this Code, reference is made to a section, division or article by its number and no act is specified, the reference is to the correspondingly numbered section, division or article of this Code. Where reference is made to “this article” or “this division” or “this section” and no Act is specified, the reference is to the article, division or section of this Code in which the reference appears. If any section, division or article of this Code is hereafter amended, the reference shall thereafter be treated and considered as a reference to the section, division or article as so amended.
