§ 7-610. Immunity. No state or local governmental unit and no government official or employee acting in the course of his or her official duties in the administration or enforcement of Section 7-601 and related provisions of this Code shall be liable for any damages, brought directly or indirectly by the injured party or a third party, except for damages resulting from willful and wanton misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the governmental unit, official or employee.
