§ 6-304.1. Permitting a driver under the influence to operate a motor vehicle. No person shall knowingly cause, authorize, or permit a motor vehicle owned by, or under the control of, such person to be driven or operated upon a highway by anyone who is under the influence of alcohol, other drugs, or combination thereof. This provision shall not apply to a spouse of the person who owns or has control of, or a co-owner of, a motor vehicle or to a bailee for hire.
Any person convicted of violating this Section shall be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.
