§ 10. Theft of motor vehicle; report to police. If a motor vehicle in the possession of a motor vehicle repair station is stolen, the operator of the motor vehicle repair station shall, immediately upon discovering the theft, report the theft to the police department or sheriff's department of the jurisdiction in which the motor vehicle repair station is located. As soon as possible after reporting the theft to the police department or sheriff's department, the operator of the motor vehicle repair station shall notify the customer whose motor vehicle was stolen of the theft.
