§ 16. The Department of Natural Resources shall plan and devise methods, ways and means for the preservation and beautifying of the public bodies of water of the State, and for making the same more available for the use of the public, and it shall from time to time report its findings and conclusions to the Governor and general assembly, and from time to time submit to the general assembly drafts of such measures as it may deem necessary to be enacted for the accomplishment of such purpose, or for the protection of such bodies of water.
The requirement for reporting to the General Assembly shall be satisfied by filing copies of the report as required by Section 3.1 of the General Assembly Organization Act, 1 and filing such additional copies with the State Government Report Distribution Center for the General Assembly as is required under paragraph (t) of Section 7 of the State Library Act. 2
