§ 24. Whoever shall construct or attempt to construct any bridge across the canal without having first submitted the plan thereof to the Department of Natural Resources and obtained its consent thereto shall, for each offense, be guilty of a Class B misdemeanor and the Department may remove the same or any part thereof at the expense of the persons or authorities causing the same to be constructed.
