§ 6-502. The township board of trustees or highway board of trustees, as the case may be, or the highway commissioner in any county not under township organization, of each road district in addition to certifying to the county board the amount necessary to be raised by such district for road purposes therein, shall also within the dates aforesaid make out and deliver to the district clerk a copy of the certificate required by Section 6-501 to be kept on file by such clerk for the inspection of the inhabitants of such district. However, a failure to file such copy shall not affect the validity of the certificate filed with the county clerk, or of the tax levied pursuant thereto.
The district clerk shall not certify levies of taxes to the county clerk.
