§ 205-40. Acquisition of property. A township availing itself of the provisions of this Article has the right of eminent domain to acquire any private property for the purposes provided by this Article and may contract for the acquisition of rights in property, easements, licenses, and permits necessary or incidental in either the acquisition or construction of a system or the improvement or extension of a system as provided in this Article. Any contract, or award in the event of condemnation, shall be payable from the income and revenue derived from the operation of the system, from the proceeds of the sale of revenue bonds authorized to be issued under this Article, or from township funds, including Federal Revenue Sharing funds, appropriated for that purpose.
