§ 10-40. Disposition of township property. When a township possessing real estate is divided into 2 or more townships, the supervisors and assessors of the several townships constituted by the division shall meet as soon as may be practicable after the first township meeting subsequently held in those townships. They may make an agreement concerning the disposition of the township property and the apportionment of the proceeds as is equitable and may take all measures and execute all conveyances necessary to carry the agreement into effect.
