§ 5-36009. Interests of officers and employees. Neither the county purchasing agent nor any member of the Board of Standardization created by this Division shall be financially interested, either directly or indirectly, in any contract for or purchase of any supplies, materials, equipment or contractual services furnished to or used by any office, department, institution or agency of the county government. The county purchasing agent or any member of his staff, or any member of the Board of Standardization who shall accept or receive directly or indirectly from any person, firm or corporation to which any contract or purchase order may be awarded, any rebate, gift, money, or anything of value whatsoever, be guilty of a business offense and shall be fined not to exceed $10,000 and shall forfeit his right to his office, trust or employment and shall be removed therefrom.
