§ 1. The clerk of any court or the sheriff of any county of this state, shall, at the end of each year after entering upon the duties of his or her office, and also within 10 days after the expiration of the term of his or her office, pay to the treasurer of the county in which his or her court is held, all costs and fees collected and remaining in his or her possession.
