§ 19. Immunity. Except for willful or wanton misconduct, a person employed by the Department shall not be subject to criminal or civil penalties for taking any action under this Act when the actions are within the scope of his or her employment. Representation and indemnification of Department employees shall be provided to Department employees as set forth in Section 2 of the State Employee Indemnification Act.
