§ 4. When the owner of any farm having a registered name desires to cancel the registered name thereof, he shall do so on the margin of the record of the register of such name by stating, “This name is cancelled and I hereby release all rights thereunder,” which shall be signed by the person owning the said farm and attested by the recorder. For such service a fee of $12 for the first 4 pages thereof, plus $1 for each additional page thereof, plus $1 for each additional document number therein noted shall be paid to the said recorder.
