§ 2-102.6. Database of notaries public. The Secretary of State may maintain a database of notaries public on a publicly-accessible website which: (1) any interested person may use to verify the authority and good standing of a listed individual to perform notarial acts; (2) indicates whether a notary holds a valid electronic commission and is able to lawfully perform electronic notarial acts; and (3) describes any administrative or disciplinary action taken against the notary by the Secretary of State.
