§ 5-46.2. Implementation of changes to State Medicaid plan. In order to provide for the timely and expeditious implementation of the federally approved amendment to the Title XIX State Plan as authorized by subsection (r-5) of Section 5A-12.1 of the Illinois Public Aid Code, the Department of Healthcare and Family Services may adopt any rules necessary to implement changes resulting from that amendment to the hospital access improvement payments authorized by Public Act 94-242 and subsection (d) of Section 5A-2 of the Illinois Public Aid Code. The Department is authorized to adopt rules implementing those changes by emergency rulemaking. This emergency rulemaking authority is granted by, and may be exercised only during, the 94th General Assembly.
