§ 5-155. References to this Act. After the effective date of this amendatory Act of 1991, when rules contain references to Sections of this Act as they were numbered before the effective date of this amendatory Act of 1991, agencies shall within one year amend those rules to change the references to the Section numbers created by this amendatory Act of 1991. The amendment may be adopted by filing with the Secretary of State for publication in the Illinois Register a notice that lists the precise regulatory citations of the obsolete statutory references that are being revised and the new citation for each. Upon filing a notice, the agency shall also certify to the Secretary of State a copy of each rule that contains an amended citation for the Illinois Administrative Code. All such certified rules shall be adopted and effective immediately upon filing.
