Illinois Statutes Chapter 430. Public Safety § 100/8. Local emergency planning committees

(a) The SERC shall appoint and supervise local emergency planning committees in accordance with Section 301 of the Federal Act.  1

(b) Local emergency planning committees shall carry out all responsibilities of a local emergency planning committee as specified in applicable Sections of the Federal Act and the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act.  2 Committees shall consult and coordinate with the SERC and such other local organizations as may be necessary to carry out their assigned responsibilities.
