§ 9.7. CFC's. The General Assembly hereby finds that the manufacture and use of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) present a serious threat to the environment, and declares it to be the public policy of this State to discourage the unnecessary use of CFCs, to encourage producers of CFCs to replace them with alternative substances that have a less deleterious impact on the environment, and to promote the use of equipment to recover and recycle existing CFCs.
