§ 3-502. Any minor 16 years of age or older may be admitted to a mental health facility as a voluntary recipient under Article IV of this Chapter 1 if the minor himself executes the application. A minor so admitted shall be treated as an adult under Article IV and shall be subject to all of the provisions of that Article. The minor's parent, guardian or person in loco parentis shall be immediately informed of the admission.
