§ 5-211. Attorney. The chief legal officer of the city is ex officio the legal adviser of and attorney for the board. The board may employ a licensed attorney to render such special legal service as may be necessary. No fee or compensation shall be paid to any attorney unless employed by the board. Any fee or compensation paid by the board shall be in accord with the schedule of fees or charges prescribed by a local or state bar association.
