§ 8A-10. Savings provisions. Notwithstanding any amendments or repealer provisions in this amendatory Act of 1981, Sections 11-21, 11-24, 12-15, 12-15.1 and 12-21.19 of “The Illinois Public Aid Code” shall remain in force (1) for the prosecution and punishment of any person who, before the effective date of this amendatory Act, has violated Section 11-21, 11-24, 12-15.1 or 12-21.19 of this Code, and (2) for the initiation and enforcement of civil actions and penalties for any cause of action which accrued prior to the effective date of this amendatory Act under Section 11-21 or 12-15 of this Code.
This amendatory Act of 1981 shall apply only to causes of action arising from violations of this Code which occur after its effective date.
