§ 24.2. The item “operation of automotive equipment”, when used in an appropriation act, means and includes all expenditures incurred in the operation, maintenance and repair of automotive equipment, including expenditures for motor fuel, tires, oil, electric vehicle batteries, electric vehicle components, electric vehicle diagnostic tools, repair parts, and other articles which, except for the operation of this Section, would be classified as “commodities” or “contractual services”, but not including expenditures for the purchase or rental of equipment.
