Illinois Statutes Chapter 230. Gaming § 5/3.19. Stewards

§ 3.19. “Stewards” means the steward or stewards representing the Board, the steward or stewards representing the organization licensee, and any other steward or stewards whose duty it shall be to supervise any horse race meeting as may be provided for by rules and regulations of the Board; such rules and regulations shall specify the number of stewards to be appointed, the method and manner of their appointment, and their powers, authority and duties. Stewards shall have the power to administer oaths and affirmations.
