§ 45.30. When advancing a drift, adit level, or incline toward a mine working that is suspected to be filled with water a bore hole shall be kept at least 15 feet in advance of the breast of the drive when in the vicinity of such mine working, and also, if necessary in directions laterally from the course of the drive, and such additional precautionary measures shall be taken as may be deemed necessary to obviate the danger of a sudden breaking through of water.
