§ 3. Office of Inspector of Mines. The Office of Inspector of Mines as created by this Act shall be under the jurisdiction of the Department of Natural Resources to the same purport and effect as all other mining operations provided for by law, unless otherwise provided. The Inspector of Mines appointed hereunder shall keep an office within and as a part of the office of the Director of the Office of Mines and Minerals, and whose necessary employees shall be employed and paid in the same manner as is provided for the employment and pay of the necessary employees of the State departments under the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois, 1 and as is provided in Section 5-645 of the Departments of State Government Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois.
