Illinois Statutes Chapter 225. Professions,Occupations and Business Operations § 705/22.02. Clearing haulage roads; timbering

§ 22.02. (a) Track haulage roads in entries, rooms, and crosscuts, developed or extended from their terminus as of July 1, 1957, shall have a continuous clearance on one side of at least 24 inches, and at least 6 inches on the tight side, from the farthest projections of moving traffic.

(b) On haulage roads where trolley lines are used, the clearance space for traveling shall be on the side opposite the trolley lines, except where such lines are 6 1/2 feet or more above the rail.

(c) The clearance space shall be kept free of loose rock, supplies, and other loose materials; provided, however, that not more than 24 inches need be kept free of obstructions.
