§ 16.10. When workers have finished their day's work, or have been prevented from further work, and come to the bottom to be hoisted out an empty cage shall be given to them for that purpose, unless there is an available exit by slope or stairway and if there is no coal at the bottom waiting to be hoisted. In case of an injury, or bona fide illness, the man shall be given a cage at once.
